The gouache is a covered watercolor. Johann mixes his gouaches with a lot of water, because how can you paint the sea and the water better than with a lot of water. Over the years, Johann van den Noort has found his own way to display his seascapes with lots of drips and splashes. Because water contains in itself, all colors (clearly visible in, for example, a rainbow), he can afford to use all the colors to display the water. Over the years he has built up a very extensive oeuvre of work in gouache paintings, many of which have found their way into various collections. Here a small collection from the last few years.
